Great post, Brooke. Don’t forget about using #jewishgenealogy on Twitter. That is a valuable one to use as well and really targets the correct audience. Tracing the Tribe also uses that hashtag when blogging and twittering from the annual IAJGS conferences. It reaches a much different audience of people who don’t even know about the conference. So add #jewishgenealogy to your tweets.

I would love to be able to participate in your July conference and promote my book “Nana Lena’s Kitchen: Recipes for Life”. Will you be selling books there? Nana Lena’s Kitchen tells the story of five generations of Southern Jewish women, stories I heard growing up in my Nana’s kitchen as we prepared food together.

I’ve spoken at Jewish book festivals and Hadassah meetings and can even teach how to make rugelach. Or I could focus on how I put this book together combining oral narrative, my memories and web-based research.

I’d be happy to feature your conference on my book blog at http://www.nanalenaskitchen.blogspot.com and on my latest blog on ways to survive the current depression at http://www.SurvivingUnderemployment.com. Please let me know how we can work together.
